The Cherry Blues Project was founded in 2001 as a project of sound art and experimental music created by two members using the pseudonyms Cherry & Blues in the band. The Cherry Blues Project runs several "styles" and "stages", so to speak, in its more than 120 albums, singles, videos and DVDs. As we do not usually sound project play live (we have records, "In Vivo", we've done in small private shows), but we rely on the creative work of our albums for listening. When the project started we had little idea how or whether to follow what we did was valid. Over time we discovered artists and artistic projects of various kinds which made us realize the validity of our work, that what we did was feasible and acceptable to many people. We used to think that our works were not absolutely nothing, that the only thing that approached was the noise, but the discovery of similar artists made us believe in what we do and what we express in our records. Of all the records we have published, we believe that there are real valid records for listening. But our deepest confession is that 70% of our recordings are unlistenable for most people, including ourselves. These recordings we consider unlistenable feel are times in our lives and it gives legitimacy to the work. We believe they are valid works (some consider "worship albums" for us, so that meant making them), and in turn, because we do not believe that an album of sound art or experimental music has to be pleasing to the ears. After However, our quest is not only directed by "musical", but we try to generate some kind of reaction in the person who will listen. As one of our influences are to Fluxus. That means that our records are not just enjoying loudly, but we care about the work from design, from conception, in some cases conceptual. Also, as Fluxus, we are interested in creating objects, artists' books and records for sound objects. In some cases we believe we improvised and self luthiers. The Cherry Blues Project is a project born from the visual arts, not the interest in "music" itself, so we have great influences or "connections" with the Fluxus movement.

What is the cherry blues project?

First, would say that is a fun and a hobby for us, an act of creation and expression. The "process" part of the game and mostly attentive listening to the sounds of reality. Essential points for us are the creation of soundscapes and permanent recovery of our own auditory memory, sometimes recorded on some discs ourselves in everyday situations. We believe that our works are highly autobiographical, each representing a particular stage of us. In many discs is the presence of our humor, noise, daily, game, performance, free experience, ridiculous, absurd, silence, things that should not be taken seriously, lies, satire, stuff unlistenable, talent shows, integrity and consistency , concepts, ideas developed to the realization, lack of respect for the ears of others, terrorism sonic contemplation of life, while religious skepticism, contradictions, electricity, unplugged, quiet, chaos, entertainment, conversation and dialogue, violence, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
